solex

the woman is a mixmaster.
a looping, crooning, grating animal of sounds that overlap and intertwine and then push and shove their way through every single song.
it's kind of like blonde redhead mated with brainiac and birthed smoosh-ish children. but she's beyond better than that.
she is a powerhouse beatbox machine of a musician.
heavy swells of beats and her waif-like vocals bobbing and weaving throughout, the lighthouse in an ocean of sound.
right now, the cutter (on vinyl) is one of my favorite songs, originally by echo and the bunnymen.

ps. elisabeth esselink is the wizard behind the curtain known as solex
